About
The movement of Decoyster's shell is so believable that it was not known for a long time which part of the body was actually alive. Its hunting technique is so efficient that it can become a nuisance predator. Fierce as it is, it is a sly Pokemon that only reveals its vulnerable true body when it knows it is absolutely safe to do so.

Design Notes
The design was based on the animals that inspired the pre-evo, the clam and the geoduck. The concept of a zebra mussel was also added in as well as some elements of design from optical illusions. The true body can emerge from the tail or the mouth portions of the shell.
